Nobel laureate and education activist Malala Yousafzai has announced an emergency aid of $300,000 to support girls’ education in war-torn regions, marking a significant initiative at the start of the new year.

The aid, provided through the Malala Fund, will be used to restore educational facilities and create learning opportunities for girls in Gaza, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In a statement shared on social media, Malala highlighted the severe challenges faced by girls living in conflict zones, calling education their “only beacon of hope.” She expressed full solidarity with these young girls and urged the international community to take immediate measures to secure their future.

Malala further called on governments to uphold and protect the right to education for all girls, regardless of circumstances. She also appealed to international organizations to ensure accountability for those committing war crimes, in accordance with international law.

In addition, Malala encouraged the public to support organizations working for children’s education, emphasizing that collective action is essential to ensure every child around the world can access their right to education.
